Hi everyone, in today’s post I’m sharing my emoji cupcake topper tutorial. I hope some of you reading this will have seen some lovely weather this summer. Since my girls broke up from school all we’ve had is rain! So I thought these bright emoji cupcakes would help to brighten up the day. They rare super easy to make and take no time at all.

To make these emoji cupcakes, I used a variety of modelling paste colours and a FMM Mix N Match Funny Faces Cutter Set. Most of the modelling pastes were already coloured, with the exception of blue and yellow. I made these colours by mixing food colours into white modelling paste. You don’t need to add much at all. Just a teeny tiny amount. Mix it into your paste until to reach your desired shade. It’s easy to add too much colour, so it’s best to work by adding tiny amounts. You can add more if you need to but you can’t take away. A list of all the items used in this tutorial can be found at the bottom of this page.

So that’s how to make these easy emoji cupcakes. They could also be used to decorate cakes as well. When you add the dust to the cheeks it’s best to add a little and build it up. I always dab off the excess dust on a kitchen towel before apllying it to my topper. It’s super easy to add too much.

I really hope that you found the tutorial useful. Click here to check out my other cake topper tutorials.
